QuestionI have more than 20 mature pine trees in the front and back yard. Recently, one tree got completely brown and is dead. This week I noticed pine tree next to dead one also got two branches turning brown and also one tree in the front. What kind of disease would this be? Seems like it's spreading to other trees. What can I do to prevent other pine trees from this disease? I would, very much, appreciate any tips on this.

There could be several reasons why this may be happening. Things like dry weather conditions or other factors could contribute. It would be best for someone to actually see these trees in person and the surroundings in which they are growing to make an accurate diagnosis. To do this, you have a couple of options to consider. Contact your local garden center or municipality office or even a phone book for an urban arborist (tree care specialist)who could come and visit your trees on the property. You can also contact your local county Extension office in your county (usually located in the county courthouse) for making arrangements for one of their personnel to make a "house call".
If you live in the US and cannot find the phone number of the Extension office in your county, let me know and I can try to locate that information. I will need your state and county of residence to locate this information.
