I also have dying eugineas, I tried to trim the dead parts off and the more dried up leaves and dead areas on the bush appear. I live in Fl. and wonder how often should I fertilize them and with what?

There may be some underlying problem here.  Possibly a root/soil related stress of sorts. Review any recent dry periods leading up to the appearance of dead leaves. Also take a look at the base of the plant for any obvious injury or discolored stems near the soil line.Be sure that the plant has moist, but well drained soil conditions.
