QuestionQUESTION: I have orange spots on my apple tree leaves. The tree is young and has two small apples. We recently experienced two weeks straight without rain. Any clew?
ANSWER: David:
Can you send me a closeup photo of a leaf with the spots? So many spots look alike. Be sure to review your image on your computer to be sure it is in focus before you send.
Thanks

QUESTION: Thanks for the response Steve. I'm sorry it took a long time to get pics. (A digital age blunder). Here's a picture of what we have on the leaves. Thank you
AnswerDavid:
I would be suspicious of a fungus disease called cedar-apple rust. It produces large orange spots on leaves and on fruit. On the leaves the center of the spot has a small raised spiny structure in the center.
Take a look at the web address for a bulletin I produced on CAR.
