ficas leaves
I get black stuff, powder like, on some of my plant leaves. It has always just been on my amaryllis leaves, and I wash with soap %26 water. It's kind of hard to wash off. Now it is on my ficas tree leaves. Too many leaves to wash! Might you know what is and what causes it? Plants are in pots, on a screened in porch in Florida.
AnswerHi Carol you have sooty mold on your plants. Yes, you can wash it off but you need to keep doing it. Poor air circulation can cause this problem on porches.
