QuestionWe moved into our new home in April. The Tri color beech tree appeared to be doing well in early spring and it just stopped growing. Leaves started but stopped. I discovered a major ant hill next to it. Could the ants be the problem? I'm reading a lot about not being in full sun and wet soils, however, it is planted on a mound and doesn't have sunshine all day. Any suggestions?
Thanks a mil for your time. Looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.

AnswerHi Bernadette, When ants are around a tree two things happen. One, the soil is very dry and two, you have aphids that are attracting the ants to the tree. Blacked leaves is a sign, leaf loss, etc. Look under the leaves for bugs hiding, to determine the problem. Atomic Grow is organic and spraying the tree will get it back into health for you. kathy
