Question
We purchased a 10 ft Cleveland pear last year from a nursery. They planted it for us. The tree so far looks like it has miniature leaves on it and they are very sparse.  It was planted last August and looks no better now than it did then. The nursery told me to water it more and feed it, which I have done, and still no change. Is this the sign of an unhealthy tree?

Difficult to say what the issue is here w/o seeing it. You may ask if the nursery can take a look. It may be a stress or possible a genetic problem.  It really needs having a house call by someone who can look the tree over and evaluate its condition.
