QuestionI had a mock orange in a spot in the garden for about three years and every year it got covered in black bugs the leaves curled and it hardly flowered. I moved it to a less prominent spot in a different part of the garden and bought a new shrub to replace it. Now the new shrub is exactly the same (covered in black bugs) and the old shrub in the new position is thriving. Is the disease in the soil?
AnswerHi Jackie, Mock Orange bugs are probably aphids that attack leaves and suck on them curling the leaves and hurting the plant making it unhealthy. You could try an organic product called Atomic Grow that will keep your plants in tip top shape so the bugs go elsewhere. kathy
