QuestionMy indoor ivy plant is dying. Seems to be dry but watering is not helping. I have noticed a web with small pests inside around the leaves. What is this and can I save it?
AnswerHi Amy,
you probably have an infestation of spider mites, which produce characteristic webs. Without a description of the insects, I cannot confirm that your plant is infested with spider mites, but one thing that you can do is put the plant outdoors in a shaded location. Regular watering will keep the plant turgid. Normal predators can take care of the mite infestation, but you may want to reduce the population of mites by applying a horticultural soap.
Good luck.
