Question
What would cause the leaves on the tree to turn brown.  This is happening all over the tree.  The leaves on the branches are half green and half brown.  The tree did bloom in the spring.

Here in Arkansas as well as several SE states have noticed over the last few years a condition of ornamental pears (Callery/a.k.a."Bradford")in which leaves look like they develop fall coloration before the fall.  They progressively become thin and eventually succumb over a few season- especially seen on mature trees. Someone would need to see your tree to determine more details.  On this situation, no disease agent has been identified. Many folks think it is a weakness of the root system. Contact your local nursery or county Extension office to get more information.
