QuestionDear Kathy,
I am from Pakistan. The environment here is very suitable for pomegranate cultivation. Unfortunately our pomegranate trees have encountered a problem: When the fruit is near maturity, it splits off into two.
In the flowering season it also sheds tens of flowers daily.
Please help me in this regard.
I shall be very thankful to you!
AnswerHi Muhammad, I do not know anything about the weather in your country, but here in the US, if that were to happen here, the first thing I would think of is not enough consistency in weekly watering practices. This could cause fruits to drop off early and fruits to split. Here we say the best watering is minimum of 3 1/2 inches per week for established plants. kathy
