Questioncitrus if given water regularly in summer, what would be the effect of the sunlight when temperature reaches to 45C. Other ornamentals have the same problem in home orchards. what will be their cumulative management? if the branches are drying?
AnswerShahid:
Absorption of light in the infared region of the spectrum may caused some heating of plant tissues and increase transpiration- in conjunction with wind. It is important to maintain adequate soil moisture during hot/dry, sunny, and windy conditions to keep up with water lost through the leaves. If plants are in a container, special effort should be given to the soil moisture aspect.
