AnswerHi Cindy, You tree has a good case of sooty mold, which can be corrected. It is a friendly fungus which causes your leaves to turn black. In doing so, it is hard for the tree to absorb the sunlight it needs to grow. You can use and organic product called Atomic Grow, or you can use an insecticidal spray, which will not do near what the prior product can do. Kathy
