QuestionWe had a late freeze this winter - our Sego has been planted outside for over 20 years - and now the leaves are brown - a little bit of green on a few of them. Will the brown leaves fall off and will it turn green again - or is it dead? Should be cut the brown leaves off to allow new growth? Thanks.
AnswerHi Cindy:
These browning leaves will eventually dwindle away. After you are sure that any frost danger is over, you can remove the leaves that are obviously not going to make it. Be sure to use sharp pruners to make a clean cut. Then, just wait and look for new growth. If it has been planted many years, this will help it's chances. Just be patient a bit longer.
