QuestionHi Kathy,
Is there any way of returning my Draceana's to there former glory.
From a previous "caretaker" the plants have clearly been over watered and I have elevated them from the ground 'concrete' to a mesh bench. The area were they are kept has moderate sunlight, a make do greenhouse next to a 10 story building, the area itself is actually a moat around the building.
Okay, they seem to have rot on the stems and leaves, they are potted (40cm). They seem to be declining and remain quite moist. The temp at the moment is between 29-35 degrees C with high humidity much like Florida.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Sincerely
Tony
AnswerHi Antony, Do not water anymore till it is mostly dry, they do not like a lot of water. They may loose their leaves and new ones can emerge. So it should be around 82 degrees is 29-35C, in this setting?
It also could be getting some fungus from the moisture surrounding the plants. You may need to spray with a fungicide like Atomic Grow to clean it off and get the roots restarted as they have been moved. Why is the area still moist? Something is not making sense, Did you plant this one deeper than it was when you transplanted it? It should be the same level so you can still see the old soil or it could smother the roots? kathy
