QuestionI have a great avocado plant. It now has a disease that makes it drop white sticky powder onto my floor. The leaves have some white powder on them as well as brown round dots. What can I do to treat this plant. I grew it from a pit to 8 feet tall and don't want to loose it.
AnswerHi Karyn, I would use Atomic Grow, which is organic and will bring your avocado plant back to a beautiful specimen. The bugs are hiding under the leaves and sucking the life out of it. There are also insecticidal products on the market, but keep in mind they usually have poison in them. When your plant is healthy the bugs go somewhere else. I would also use a slow release fertilizer so you do not burn your plant with cheaper products. kathy
