My gardenia plant has a white substance on the leaves and parts of the stems. Also on the gardenia plant, what temp. in winter can it withstand?

Hi David, Sounds like mealy bugs, if not Atomic Grow will clean the bugs off and restore it back to health organically.  Or you could use an insecticidal spray which usually are poison.  The AG will actually cause a better root system, protect your gardenia from nematodes, and protect against the bugs harming your plant.  Depending on the type of gardenia mine took prolonged 18 degrees this year in Florida.  kathy
