Hi Laura, Your tree may have greasy spot which usually does not occur on Meyer Lemons.  It will not hurt your fruit, just does not look pretty.  Greasy spot is a fungal disease which may occur now if you are having a lot of rain.  A product called Atomic Grow is being used on citrus for various pest problems including aphids, leaf minor, sooty mold to name a few.  Make sure you use a good fertilizer, a slow release and keep the area around your tree clean.  kathy
