QUESTION: My limes appear to have brown scuff marks on them, some of the limes have popped open and juice has come out while still on the tree. The limes are still green.I have never seen that on any Key lime tree I've had.
I recently purchased the tree from Home Depot in the Florida Keys

Hi Boyce, I have a feeling the fruit is popping open because of inconsistant watering.  If the plant does not get enough water it will cause the fruit to expand, say during rain, then there is no place to expand.  A weekly watering will keep the fruit expanding so this does not happen.  You could try Atomic Grow to get your tree working properly.  You may have leaf minor which causes problems on the leaves, look underneath and see if you see what looks like railroad tracks.  Also it will straighten out other problems the tree may have from fertilizer or sprays that can clog up the growing process.  I have seen this product do miracles here.  kathy
