QuestionWe live in Long Island, NY .
I have a 7-8 ft red maple in my front yard plant bed. I transplanted there about 6 yr ago and it was doing real well.
Over past year however all the lower half leaves are shriveling up and branches and trunk have pale white spots all over them. It seems to start spring off Ok and leaves all bloom, but then it starts.
The upper branches and leaves seem ok they do have some white spots but not as many. All top branches leaves blooming and bright color.
What do you think it might be ?
Thanks Bobby
AnswerHi Bobby, This is what I found for you which gives you some pictures to go by. www.arbordoctor.net/redmaple.html If it is a fungus problem and you do not want to use poison, I would get some Atomic Grow which does not wash off, and helps to restore and protect your tree. It is a new miracle product out on the market. kathy
