QuestionI have 3 dwarf forsythia bushes. The leaves on the ends of the twigs have begun to curl up, turn yellow and then brown. This started a couple of weeks ago from the bottom of the plants and has moved up to the top leaves. I originally sprayed insecticide, with no result. Could it be a fungus? Thank you.
AnswerJ.
These plants are pretty hardy. Unless the leaves are spotted, I would lean toward a potential moisture stress (too much or not enough). Be sure it gets a nice drink, especially if it has been hot/dry where you are. Also examine the base of the plant for any apparant damage that may have removed the bark.
