Questioni have these and ones that are taller junipers, and i have a BAD odor around the front porch where these are growing. i have thought that it was the cats next door spraying in my plants, but the smell seems to be centered around just the junipers? is there something other than the cats that could be the problem? its bad enough that i can't open windows on nice days. it stinks. please advise. thanks so much. i have used your site for many things and am thankful for your site ALL EXPERTS, kim
AnswerKim:
An ammonia-like smell may help w/clues. Sometimes urine (not mine-ha-ha)can actually "burn" the leaves on juniper. I cannot think of another foul smell except urine. Try some moth balls scattered or other animal repellents such as oils that are available at your better garden centers or box stores.
