QuestionI noticed that one of my potted house plants had white spheres that were growing on the roots and that continued to spread through the whole pot, multiplying each day. I thought maybe it was a fungus and tried fungicide to no avail. I isolated the plant in a separate room and a few months later other plants had the same problem. It has decimated my cacti and is now killing my jade tree, but some of the plants that have it, including the first one that I noticed the spheres in, are healthy looking. I really don't know what it is or what is going on but I fear losing all of my houseplants to this.

Not sure about this one either. Suggest clipping off a small root w/ these spheres on it and carry it to your local county Extension office for them to look at OR you can drop by a reputable nursery for these folks to look at. Maybe an insect or maybe a fungus that may be just there in the organic matter doing nothing. Best to get these things ID'd.Since they just don't ring a bell with me..
