tulip diseases, lilly diseases

Question
Hi.
I live on  Cape Code, Mass.
we had a really cold and rainy summer so far.I understand that a lot of  plant's problems are related to fungus,  like what looks like rust on oriental lilies- leaves are getting brown from bottom to top, like black spots on peony's leaves and yellowing and black spots of different designer roses. My question is- what do i supposed to do next year to prevent it from happening again-  except for a good fall clean- up?
I planted a lot of tulips last fall. The spot was getting more than 6 hours of sun. The flowers were distorted and
covered with discolorations  in the form of small round white spots. I dug them out for summer , keep in cool and dry space. I still don't know- is the problem was a fungus or parasite. the tulips were of different kind, double early mostly, but also single late- like queen of night. The problem was the same.
Is there something I have to do?
Thank You,
 Alla

Answer
Hi alla, Rain has caused lots of plant problems and more than likely it is a fungus because of the rain.  If it were a bulb problem you would have seen it when you dug them up.  I would try Atomic Grow to bring your plant to the healthiest it has ever been.  By doing so it can fend off problems the weather causes.  It is totally organic and a new product out on the market.  kathy
