Sargent Crab Apple and Washington Hawthorne Trees

Question
QUESTION: I live in Bucks Co. Pa. In early spring I sprayed my Sargent Crab Apple for fire blight and it bloomed profusely for the 1st time in 5 yrs.Prior to spraying, I cut out infected branches as best I could, bagged them and had them hauled away with the trash.
I also have a Washington Hawthorne, planted about 4 yrs ago about 150 ft. from the Sargent.
We had alot of rain May-June. Now the Sargent has what looks like an orange fuzzy spore-like icing covering the apples and spreading a bit onto the branches. All of this is concentrated more toward the inside of the tree and not on the new growth.
The Washington Hawthorne is beginning to show some of the same signs.
From what I'm reading, it sounds like Quince Rust. Am I correct? What is the best way to get rid of this without cutting all of the branches? Is this rust deadly? Should I just cut the tree down as its rather prolific throughout the tree?

ANSWER: Hi Juliette, as I am not familiar with either tree, I can still help you find a product, that is organic that will bring them both back to health.  It is called Atomic Grow.  If it is a rust, Atomic Grow will clear it up and make your plant better than new.  You will start spraying all your plants and the hard thing would be, when your yard is looking beautiful you may want to go spray the neighbor hood, hehe.  Rain is what brings in the rust.  Here in Florida it is getting rid of the rust on my fig trees, to my knowledge there is no other product on the market that can claim this.   kathy

QUESTION: Thanks Kathy! So appreciate the help. After I posted my question, I went outside and picked one of the hawthorne berries and felt that the rust was "powdery". Yup, the sargent is right in the line of drainage. Hoping this rust is not contagious but if it's powdery then I suppose the wind will spread it (?). I'm pleased that "Atomic Grow" is organic as the trees are very close to my koi ponds and I see the rust on top of the water.
2 questions: Can I get Atomic Grow at any nursery? and
I'm trying to find the link to rate your answer, can't find it ??
Thanks, Juliette

Answer
Hi Juliette,  atomic grow can only be purchased on line as it is a brand new product and not available in many places yet.  I do not have a rate as it freaks me out after my work and time put in and someone give me a so so rating.  This way I can sleep at night.  atomicgrow.net  kathy
