QuestionI live in south Florida and have many (what I believe to be)white flowering african lilies(Agapanthus)growing in the ground on the west side of my house. They were planted by the previous owners probably about 25 years ago. Recently I have noticed a rust colored discoloration on the underside of the leaves. When the new leaves emerge they look fine, but this problem appears as the leaves mature. There are no signs of a bug, powder, holes,or a sticky substance. The leaves also seem to be yellowing and dying off more than usual. I fertilized with a slow release, but I don't think it's helping. Any clue as to what might be wrong? Thanks very much for your attention.
AnswerHi Ellen, I was just reading an article that seems to describe what your problem and it is a rust that forms on the underside of leaves. I am using a product called Atomic Grow on my figs that get a rust and it seems to be working even through all this rain. It is organic and brings the plants back to health. kathy
