QuestionMy pine is about 20 yrs. old. All the branches have brown needles at the very end. What is going on? Can I fix it? This follows two years of drought and a severe ice storm in Southern OH.
AnswerIf the needles on the ends of the branches are turning then it sounds like the tree is dead. Sorry. Could be several reasons--the weather causing the tree to be weakened and then beetles would attack the weaken tree finishing it off. Same thing is true about a root fungi--weather weakens the tree and the fungi can infect the roots.
