QuestionHi, I have two Azalea's that I was given as a gift, one of them is having a few problems, the leaves on the plant are starting to turn a purple colour, or has purple spots on the upper leaves. If this was a rose I would have treated it for purple spot.
I have given the plant Azalea plant food.
FYI the other plant is fine, and I am from the UK and there has not been too much rain since i planted the plants nor has it been too hot.
AnswerHi Sunny,
I believe your azalea may have a phosphorus deficiency which can be corrected by the Azalea plant food you applied because it most likely involves phosphorus. Superphosphate is also a good product to use if you encounter this problem again. Stick to the amount recommended and do not over fertilize or you could potentially burn roots.
thanks for your question!
