QuestionOur home is 8 years old and had a 4 foot gingko tree in the front yard when we moved in. This year we have had a very wet spring in Tennessee. The leaves on the gingko tree are curled. It looks like they have never fully opened from the bud. There are many leaves and they are a healthy green color, just not extended and flat as they normally are by June. I don't want to lose this tree as it is gorgeous with yellow leaves in the fall and a nice shape and up to now has grown well. Is there a problem or nutrition issue?
AnswerToo much water can give the same wilted look to the leaves as too little water. Since the water came from too much rain it should recover on its own. As long as the over all color of the leaves is green it will be ok. Gingko trees are pretty tough and have few inset and disease problems.
