orange tree trunk bark loss-leaf loss

Question
The tree is at least 15 years old. Has always had good, abundant fruit. Was lightly pruned this early spring before blossoming. Now have small fruit [golf ball size] which some is dropping and leaves are rapidly dropping. Tree bark in some areas by base is coming off with light brown scale where it has come off like maybe a fungus. Is tree dyeing? It has been very dry and watering restrictions are in force. What can I do? Thank you

Answer
Hi Dan,  It could be the age of the tree depending on the root stock it is on.  Watering is essential as your tree will suck the water out of the orange to survive.  This would cause stress on the tree and then the bug brigade will take over.  Bugs love sickly trees.  Both the bug and scale problem could be resolved with Atomic Grow and a good weekly watering.  Atomic Grow is organic and can only help your tree regain its health back.  kathy
