several small branches on maples are without leaves and branches are dying.Noted small greenish insects on some of leaves. trees are about twenty yrs. old. Dogwood trees close by have dead branches and what might be fungus as bark is falling off.

You definetly have a problem with either a fungus or a larva that is manifesting.  The small branches without leaves is a prime example of nutrients being cut off.  This leads me to believe that your problems are systemic.  Up until now there are no products on the market that will systemically cleanse or detox a tree or plant.

It is the only thing I would recommend at this point.  You need to raise the Brix (sugar) levels in those trees.
