QuestionI have a crabapple tree that flowers but is not thick and lush as in past years. Some of the branches are totally bare and the tree itself has little craters all over like sores (greyis/green) I really like the tree and want to fix it. Please help.
AnswerJulie
Your damage may be the result of any number of insects. If the tree is still flowering it is a sign that your tree still has a relatively good defense mechanism. Although not for long. It needs help.
Oils and pesticides will kill insects but will do nothing for the health of your tree.
There is a new product on the market. I have been lucky enough to be a tester for about 7 years now.
Atomic Grow will heal your tree and get rid or your insects externally and internally. After a few sprays you will notice new clean growth bigger leaves bigger fruit and sweeter fruit too.
Crowley's Nursery sells it in Sarasota FL.
