QuestionI was given an orchid for a gift last Mother's Day.
It seems like it has something chewing along the sides of the leaves and sometimes in the middle of the leaves, leaving a hole..I do see little brownish loose (what appear to be like crumbs of a graham wafer cracker in colou.. just sitting in close to the main stalk...also some little lines that appear as if I've scratched the leaf..
I have used insecticidal soap just recently and then tried a cotton tip dipped in rubbing alcohol..
What can be doing this to my plant and what should I do?? The leaves are huge and I do have a new shoot starting up top.. this is my first experience with orchids.
Thanks
AnswerHi Sandy, I would try a product called Atomic Grow on your orchids. I am amazed at what it is doing for mine. I am not an orchid grower and have no clue how to take care of them, but it looks like Atomic Grow is doing it for me. Some bloomed three days after I sprayed them. It will clean the plant so that nature can take over and help heal it from the bugs and let it grow like it should. kathy
