QuestionQUESTION: I have had an orange tree in my house for several years. It goes outside in the summer. This winter it has been covered with a sticky substance all over the tree. It has even made the floor sticky around the pot. It hasn't lost leaves, has continued to bloom and has fruit. What is this sticky residue? I have had the tree for 20 years and this is the first time this has happened.

QUESTION:
What is causing the sticky residue? Could it be spider mites? If so how do I get rid of them?
AnswerHi Judy, The bugs are scale or aphids all which can be cured by using a hose, soapy water and blast them off. However, you would have to keep doing that to keep them off. That is why I recommend Atomic Grow which will clean off the plant by absorbing into the leaf and then bring it back to good health.
