Question
My downhill neighbor in Southern California is planting both types of bamboo trees at his backyard limits which eventually will grow up to my view...of course then blocking the view. Can I do anything to preserve my view?

Hi Doug,  There is running and clumping bamboo, If he plants running bamboo it will eventually run the neighborhood.  It will run to water lines, septic tanks, swimming pools  and anything that has water near it.    If it is clumping it can be stopped, if it comes up too high near you he may opt to get a shorter typer or let you trim it.  Once cut it does not grow back, only the new culms will.  kathy
