QuestionHi. I've got a potted Meyer lemon that has "stuff" on the branches. It looks like flat little droplets of sap that has solidified. It isn't on the leaves at all, just the branches. It scrapes off easily, but I'm concerened. We have balloons around the base (to keep the cat out) and they have sticky stuff on them which leads me to believe that it might be a sort of sap, but I'd like to know for sure. Thanks so much!
AnswerHi Lindsay Sounds like honey dew from white flies. You can spray with and insecticide or I prefer Pure Neem Oil by Dyna Gro which is organic and does not wash off. If there is a fungus in the flowers causing less fruiting it will also correct that without poison. kathy
