QuestionOn some branches the bark is cracking and peeling off and then the whole branch dies. The leaves turn yellow, die and fall off.The branches die from the tip and goes in towards the base. On some branches the leaves are just dying. Last year we cut 3 to 4 feet of the top off as it died. This has been going on about 2 years. We have cut off about a fifth of the trees branches this year. Whats wrong? Treatable?
AnswerHi Pam, Not to be discouraging but it is 30 year old and they do die after that period of time. I have many people saying the same thing and seems this is the year for the oldies to go. You may get a little more from it but you may want to take advantage at this time and get a new one started...kathy
