QuestionA few months ago I bought a BEARSS lime tree grown at Colorama Wholesale Nursery here in California. It seemed well adjusted for 2-3 months. Several weeks ago it blossomed nicely, but in the last week it has lost all of its leaves. They did not yellow or dry before falling off.
It had been sprayed with insecticide and fungicide. I also have lemon, tangerine and grapefruit trees which are all fine. Is there a disease which could have lurking inside the stems of the tree? Any other possibilities? Thank you for your assistance, Bob
AnswerHi Bob, you would have to ask someone in CA if there is anything going around, here in FL we have different kinds of pests. Citrus shed the inner part of their leaves before flowering and fruiting and keep the leaves on the end, could this be happening? Also what kind of pesticide did you use? I use Pure Neem Oil from DYNA GRO which does not kill anything, but alters the taste and does not wash off for long lasting protection. kathy
