QuestionHello, I have an indoor 'tree' whose name I am not certain of. It grows oranges about one inch in diameter and keeps a green leaf year round. Mine is about 5 feet tall, though I've seen them trimmed as bushes. I've just moved it into an office space that is warm and has daily direct sun. it seems happy there, and has begun to fruit again after a year. However, there is a black powder on some of the leaves, and I think it may be spreading. Any ideas of what it is and what to do about it?
AnswerHi Catherine, The black powder on the leaves is sooty mold and you can wash it off with soap and water or go to an insecticide like 100 percent pure Neem Oil. This product will not wash off like soap and water and will protect from your plant from other insects. kathy
