QuestionI have a small Desert Rose plant that has been on my patio for about 6 months. Recently I have noticed that the tips of the leaves are brown. Almost like they have been burnt. This is just on he tips, less than 1 cm, there is some yellowing near the tip. The older leaves seem to be worse than the newer ones. I think it is a nutrient deficiency but do not know for sure and if so what nutrient. Any recommendations? And while I am at it, should I bring it and my other succulents in this winter at the risk of them not getting enough sun? I have some shriveled lithops(why are they shriveled?) and some cacti. I live in Auburn, Alabama on the second floor of an apartment so I am afraid it will get too cold for them. Do I just worry about freezing temperatures or should I worry about cool nights <45-50 degrees?
Thank you!
AnswerHi Scottie... I can't answer your cacti problem as I do not grow them but it may tie into your desert rose problem, you are watering them too much. Maybe once a week or if still damp as it is cooler out every two weeks. Brown leaves is usually a sign of too much water.
