QUESTION: I'm not questioning your knowledge...I just would like to know the reason why you do not spray the wound...is that just something that just makes me feel better or is it harmful? Thanx again
AnswerHi there. After a 10 year study at Rutgers University it was found that trees do better when left unpainted. The black sealant is kind of like a mini greenhouse. Sealing in moisture which leads to more fungus and decay development. Also it hinders the formation of wound tissue. Hope this helps,Bill
