QuestionOur Arborvitae American--all 8 of them--are currently turning yellow. When you touch the yellow, the needles fall off. There is still green with berries but it seems strange all 8 would do this at one time. The landscaper that put them in a year ago believes this is normal sheading. Is this true? More than will to send you a photo if you would like to take a look.
AnswerHi there. Due to the fact this is happening to all the plants. It sounds environmental. Ie: to wet(which can lead to root rot),to dry or maybe to hot. Also shedding of ever greens is a common natural process. Were the the strings around the burlap and trunk cut off when they were planted?
Hope this helps,Bill
