QuestionTHE MEYERS LEMON TREE THAT I PURCHASED AND PLANTED THIS PAST SPRING HAD SEVERAL LEMONS ALREADY ON THE TREE.A FEW FELL OFF AFTER TRANSPLANT.HOWEVER THE ONES THAT REMAIN HAVE BEEN ROTTING ABOUT THE TIME THEY ARE GETTING YELLOW.CAN YOU HELP?
AnswerHi there. I am not totally sure but it sounds like the tree is still in transplant shock.A newly planted tree's primary goal is survival. This starts with a healthy root system. The tree will basically allocate almost all of it's resources to root health. The tree parts above the ground will suffer until the root system is restored. Take the fruit off and make sure the tree is getting proper water, nutrients and light. Here is a site with a good deal of info on citrus tree care. Hope this helps. http://www.citrus-tree-care.com/index.html
