My poor Honeysuckle- I think it has blight or powdery mildew

Question
Can over watering a honeysuckle in a pot cause powdery mildew? What is the best way to care for a honeysuckle in a pot over the winter- as far as how often to water it, and should it be pruned down some and covered with some plastic? suggestions greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi there. Yes over watering is one cause. Due to the length of the article here is the address of a good indoor plant care site.

http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/plantanswers/publications/houseplant/housepla...

They don't mention this non chemical control of  powdery mildew so I will give it to you.
a weekly spray of milk at a concentration of at least 10% (1 part milk to 9 parts water) significantly reduced the severity of powdery mildew infection on the plants by 90%. While some gardeners may be tempted to increase the concentration of milk for more control, it was found that once concentrations rose above 30%, an innoccuous fungus began to grow on the plants.
Hope this helps,Bill
