QuestionHi David,
Please can you help me, I have 2 year old Victoria plum that has plenty of fruit and looks healthy, but every plum I have tried so far (about 15) all have very small maggots in them, do you know how I can stop this for next year as I have a feeling that all the plums that are still on the tree are infected, the tree is in a large pot, and I am in the UK
Many thanks
Marion
AnswerYeah--- you will have to treat the tree with an insecticide several times next spring. Check with your local garden center and ask for a fruit tree spray that has insecticide and fungicide in it. This will be the ONLY way you will be able to prevent the worms from getting into the fruit. I hate to spray too, but fruit trees are gonna have to have it if you want bug free fruit. Good Luck.
