Hello,
I have a couple of burning bushes that are looking a little sickly and my wife used a plant food on them "Super Grow" that states it's for Acid loving plants. My first question is; Are Burning Bushes acid loving plants? Secondly, if they are not do you think that it will hurt them? Super Grow is mixed with a gallon of water

Burning bushes can tolerate a range of pH's. The water souble fertilizer should not leave a residue on the plant.  The stickyness may be an indication of an insect such as aphids or scale.  See if there is any black moldy substance on the leaves that can be rubbed off the leaes with your fingers.  Check the undersides of the leaves for bugs and please make a return response with your findings.  The bugs are very treatable.  Thanks.
