QuestionHi David
I have noticed that the leaves on my pansies have black spots on them and seem to be dying off, there are also marks that look like dried milk on the leaves on quite a few of my other plants, any advise would be appreciated, i live in the central region of the UK
Regards
Chris
AnswerThe black spots are probably fungal disease. Pansies are a fall and winter plant. If it is getting hot where you are, they will normally die off. The dried milk marks sound like an insect. I would treat the plants with Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub Insecticide. This product is mixed with water and poured on the soil around the base of the plant. It is taken up systemically and will kill the bugs within a week or so. It also provides protection from reinfestation for up to a year. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
