QuestionI have several plumaria (the flowers are used in hawaii to make lei necklaces). The new leaves are coming out ok, but then curl up and look asymetrical and jagged instead of a nice oval shape like a tobacco leaf. What causes this and how can it be stopped? I live in Dallas where it is very hot. Also on another subject, I have to park under a crepe myrtle and the sap drips on my car and doesn't wash off- how can I remove the sap without damaging the paint? Thank you.
AnswerHi C. Frangi pani leaves are prone for bug attacks. You can get an insecticidal spray such as Neem (which I prefer) and spray under the leaves where the bugs hide. For the car problem go to your auto store and ask which product to use, they would know best.
