Sandcherry Problem

Question
I have 2 Sandcherry shrubs and a weeping ornamental cherry
tree and I'm finding that something seems to be eating at
the leaves but there is no sign of insects or fungus growing on them. The leaves seem to have holes in them and
are black in color..Do you know what this is caused from,
and what can I do to rectify the problem..
Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi Kathy.. I don't know what a sand cherry is but when you find holes in the leaves and no bugs it is generally a snail or a slug who come out at night and feast.

Get an insecticidal spray like Neem Oil and spray even the ground around it as the critters do not want to even walk on it.  Neem is organic and will not wash off for further protection.  There are other sprays out there but I like this one as it changes the flavor so the bugs go else where and does not kill our beneficials like other products do.
