QuestionI live in central NJ and I was pruning my azaleas the other day and noticed
that almost every leaf had at least one white sac looking thing on it. Then I
noticed a lot of bugs crawling along the branches. I thought they were lace
bugs but couldn't find a think about these very obvious (once you look under
the leaf) egg sacs. The leaves are dropping and turning brown and spotted.
Thanks for any help.
AnswerHi Key..probably mealy bugs. Spray with an insecticidal spray to rid them. Or you can go organically and use neem. Neen doesn't wash off so it protects longer and builds up over time. They suck the sap out of the leaves and then they die and fall off.
