Question
Two of our cone flowers that we just planted have an elongated black spot on the leaves. We don't know if that is suppose to be there or if we have a problem. The plants are about 4-5 inches high and have morning shade.

This is not normal.  Sounds like either a fungal or possibly bacterial disease.  I would go buy some Hi-Yield Copper Fungicide at a garden center and treat the plants.  Or you could could just pull off the affected leaves.  This doesnt sound too serious but could become a problem if not corrected.  Thanks.
